Vaniity, born Delilah Vaniity Kotero on July 26, 1973, in Uruapan, Mexico, is a transgender adult film actress and model best known as the first trans woman to win an AVN Award. Her family moved to Sunnyvale, in Northern California, when she was seven years old, and she was raised there before eventually building a decades-long career in adult entertainment. Vaniity has appeared in more than 70 films for studios including Devil’s Film, Evil Angel, and Kink.com. In 2013, she was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame, cementing her status as one of the industry’s pioneering trans performers.

In describing her own path, Vaniity has said, “I dreamed of being a wonder woman of sorts, I have always admired strong women, especially brunette women, I secretly wore my sisters’ dresses, openly played with Barbies, played makeup artist and fashion consultant to my mother and sister.”
